A National Park Worth Your Time

Bryce Canyon National Park - Image Credit:

If you’re a resident of Las Vegas or you plan to relocate to this area, it’s important to know the best attractions in the area. Bryce Canyon National Park is one of the most gorgeous natural attractions throughout the area and perfect for the entire family.

It’s located about four hours northeast of the city, but worth the drive. With all kinds of mazes, arches, spires and fins throughout the park, you can enjoy the view of the rocks and all the different colors against the blue sky. Green forest line the park and rocks are found in deep red, tan, white and gold colors.

Bryce Canyon National Park isn’t exactly a canyon, but a desert plateau, which has been carved by erosion. It’s a horseshoe-shaped rock basin with plenty to offer visitors. You can drive on the paved road and see the sights or you can take in an event at the Amphitheater. The many rock towers make this a great attraction and they’re called, “hoodoos.” Hike along Fairyland Look or spend time on the Under the Rim Trail.

If you prefer to let someone else do the driving, you can take the shuttle bus. Another option for visitors is one of the Horseback trips along the trails. The Bryce Canyon National Park is a great area for cross-country skiing, contains plenty of great wildlife and provides beautiful plant life.

There’s more to do in the area than just this one park. You can make it a weekend trip and enjoy Zion National Park, the Brian Head Resort and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Whether you take the entire family or just want to get away as a couple, this is a great area just outside Las Vegas for all kinds of fun.

Entrance is $25 per vehicle or you can get an annual pass for $30. Those showing up on foot or on bike receive a discounted price of $12.
